PINE TREES ARE GREAT IN THE RIGHT PLACE

While pine trees are a major source of timber for the NZ construction industry there are alot of Wilding Pines which are rapidly spreading across our fantastic landscapes.

It's school holidays and I'm up at the Bach at Castle Hill with my famiy. While we are there my oldest son and I took the opportunity to help with Wilding Pine removal.

Today we cleared an area on Flock hill station around Parapet Rock. Over a couple of hours we removed about 300 trees. Most could be cut with loppers but some larger ones needed a saw. We are bound to have missed some in the scrub but we will be back to finish them off.

Really enjoyed the sunny day, discovering a portion of the old coach road that ran from Christchurch to Greymouth and helping protect a fantastic environment.

If you have a building project in mind and want to work with an architect who loves NZ landscapes, give me a call.

I am Graeme Jacobs an Architect based in Christchurch doing residential projects sip prefab throughout my beloved South Island.
