INTERIORS WITH COLOUR AND TEXTURE

I used to love minimalist architecture. While I still admire the style my own work tends to have more colour and texture.

I think this comes from travel especially my trips to Africa but also from an appreciation of what colour and texture bring to a space and that is personality.

My Avonhead high performance house has alot of white walls but also colour and texture as can be seen in this image of the ensuite.

The material pallet includes a gun metal recessed pull to the white cavity slider door, CORTEN steel porcelain wall tile with silver anodised trim, black granite bench top with leathered finish and white oak veneer vanity with solid oak clashing.

The key to this group of materials is the inclusion of two natural materials stone and timber.

If you want to work with an Architect who can bring colour and texture to your next build give me a call.
