Really great to visit our Avonhead high performance build to review flashing mockup.
So much easier for Client, Contractor and Architect to have the real thing at full size in place to discuss before the cladding starts.
The image shows a jamb j-flashing shingled over a sill j-flashing. These flashings will close off the cut edges to corrugated cladding around the window.
Only changes made were:
1- To have flashing match the window rather than corrugated cladding colour.
2 - To have an additional flashing behind both the sill and jamb flashing and to run this to the base of the cladding.
As this is the only window in the project with a sill above slab level there is not alot of extra labour or material required for the additional flashing. However, if there had been more we still would have added the extra flashing as we think it is good practice.
